Julie is a Registered Massage Therapist with Massage New Zealand (RMT MNZ). She has been running a successful massage practise in the heart of the Wellington CBD since 2005.
She comes from a strong background of physical education, teaching and sport. An active sportswoman she competed successfully at national and international level in Ultimate Frisbee.
Her personal experience and extensive training have placed her ideally to work with a variety of clients. She has achieved excellent results with individuals ranging from teenagers; desk workers; sporting enthusiasts; Coast to Coasters and elite athletes. Her experience with internationals includes; the Argentinian Pumas, the All Black Sevens, the Vodafone Warriors, the Wests Tigers, the Wallabies, and the Black Caps. She was Blackcaps' the Massage Therapist travelling with the team from their buildup to the 2015 Cricket World Cup through to the end of their T20 World Cup campaign in 2016. She is currently contracted to the Royal New Zealand Ballet. She also works at Capital Sports Medicine as well as comtinuing to provide workplace massages at a number of businesses in the CBD.
In her sessions Julie uses an array of different massage styles and related therapies including; Sports, Relaxation, Therapeutic & Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Orthobionomy® to maximize the effectiveness of her treatment work. She also specialises in massage for pregnant women. Julie’s clients appreciate her ability to listen to their needs, her passion for problem solving and the sound self- care guidance she provides to complement their individually tailored sessions.
