Julie is a Registered Massage Therapist with Massage New Zealand (RMT MNZ). She has been running a successful massage practise in Wellington since 2005.
She comes from a strong background of physical education, teaching and sport. An active sportswoman she competed successfully at national and international level in Ultimate Frisbee.
Her personal experience and extensive training have placed her ideally to work with a variety of clients. She has achieved excellent results with individuals ranging from teenagers; desk workers; sporting enthusiasts; Coast to Coasters and professional athletes. Her experience with internationals includes; the All Blacks, the Argentinian Pumas, the All Black Sevens, the Vodafone Warriors, the West Tigers, the Wallabies, and the Black Caps. She was the Black Caps' Massage Therapist travelling with the team from 2014 during their buildup to the 2015 Cricket World Cup through to the end of their T20 World Cup campaign in 2016. She was contracted to the Royal New Zealand Ballet for the 2017 seasons. She works in private practise on Woodward St, at Capital Sports Medicine as well as continuing to provide workplace massages at a number of businesses in the CBD.
In her sessions Julie uses an array of different massage styles and related therapies including; Sports, Relaxation, Therapeutic & Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Orthobionomy® to maximize the effectiveness of her treatment work. She also specialises in massage for pregnant women. Julie’s clients appreciate her ability to listen to their needs, her passion for problem solving and the sound self- care guidance she provides to complement their individually tailored sessions.
